SHAME ON MOM-SHAMERS. EXPERIENCED THEIR WRATH? SHARE YOUR STORY.

Since I have a large social following, I unfortunately experience the wrath every single day. It's sad really because it's all from other WOMEN! I can't think of a single instance where I have been mom shamed by a man. I'm not sure if because of my persona they think I don't have feelings, or maybe people think if it's in a comment or a DM it's not as hurtful or serious to say because I can't imagine anyone would say these things to my face. I've been told the most ridiculous things like my makeup must scare my child, or my weight is a bad influence on my daughter, she'll grow up thinking skinny like me is "normal" and then she'll have an eating disorder to try and get there. I try my hardest to be a good, loving, nurturing mom. I think as women we should recognize that and comment on that rather than trying to put each other down.

IF ANY LINE OF WORK NEEDS INSPO, IT'S MOTHERHOOD. WHAT TYPE OF MOTHERS INSPIRE YOU?

Mamas that do it all really inspire me. Mamas that balance motherhood along with work, their relationship, a social life, and their own self. It's hard being a mom, it truly is a full time job. I love seeing women (like Hope!) that seem to be able to balance so many different aspects of their life beautifully, it is truly inspiring and reminds me just how strong women are.

SOMETIMES WE'RE ALL BAD MUTHAS (AS WE SHOULD BE). WHEN DID YOU GO AGAINST TRADITIONAL ADVICE?

More times than one! I don't think there's any right or wrong way to be a good mother, for example I vaccinate my child- but if you choose not to, I don't judge you. One way I go against traditional advice is teaching her language. We are teaching her 3 languages at once- English, Farsi (my native tongue) and Spanish. So many people tell me that my daughter will be confused, will speak later in life because she won't understand etc; for me, I know she can do it, so I love exposing her to as much as possible. It's SO CUTE to watch her say Uno, Dos, Tres, then One, Two, Three!

I LOVE TO GET MY HAIR AND MAKEUP DONE, PUT ON A PRETTY OUTFIT, AND REMIND MYSELF THAT JUST BECAUSE I'M A MOTHER AND HAVE AVOCADO IN MY HAIR AND OCCASIONAL BLOWOUTS ON MY JEANS IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S THE END OF THE SEXY, GLAMOROUS, FUN WOMAN INSIDE OF ME ALSO.

BETTER WORLDS START WITH BETTER MOMS. HOW CAN THE MOTHERHOOD COMMUNITY IMPROVE?

I think we can all try to help each other more rather than judge. Moms go through so many of the same struggles- from sleep training to potty training, to handling temper tantrums. I think offering what has worked for you and tips and tricks you learned in a very non-judgmental way can really help other moms decide what's best for them to do. I have so many supportive friends that sent me lists of products to buy for baby when I was pregnant, it was so incredibly helpful to be able to see what everyone else used and decide what is best for me to use.

HOW DO YOU LIKE TO MUTHA YOURSELF AND ENSURE YOU STILL HAVE SOME 'ME' TIME?

For me GLAM is my therapy. I love to get my hair and makeup done, put on a pretty outfit, and remind myself that just because I'm a mother and have avocado in my hair and occasional blowouts on my jeans it doesn't mean it's the end of the sexy, glamorous, fun woman inside of me also. I love getting dolled up and feeling that side of my womanhood every now and then. Mama's still got it no matter how many kids she has!
